Treeclusion
Links open their target in place instead of jumping away, so reading never loses its context.
Digital stretchtext website to reduce the cognitive overhead of hypertext/browser visual noise and hyperjumps through smooth linear-path-based inclusion of knowledge.
Highlights
- Links inline-expand ("transclude") their target content in place rather than navigating away, so context is never lost
- Promotion model: activating a link inside expanded content promotes it to the primary view while the opener shrinks into a bordered ancestor wrapper, ancestors stay mounted, so zoom-out reverses one level at a time
- Distinct hover-to-preview vs. click-to-jump interactions, prototyped in a React/Vite stretchtext mockup
- Live GitHub-source and local-folder reading modes, no backend required to browse a linked repo or vault as stretchtext
- 19 self-check suites running 237 assertions over the transclusion, promotion and path logic, run by a single make target that typechecks alongside them
- The Obsidian plugin cannot be run against the real Obsidian API outside the app, so the testable logic lives in a plain TypeScript package and the plugin shell gets a clean typecheck instead of a pretend test
